Śiva’s Boon to Viśvakarman and the Manifestation of Devī
Bhavānī/Parāśakti
या सा जगदिदं कृत्स्नं महिम्ना व्याप्य तिष्ठति । शरीरिणीव स देवी विचित्रं समलक्ष्यत
yā sā jagadidaṃ kṛtsnaṃ mahimnā vyāpya tiṣṭhati | śarīriṇīva sa devī vicitraṃ samalakṣyata
That Goddess—who by the power of her own glory pervades and upholds this entire universe—was then beheld wondrously, as though she possessed a distinct embodied form.

It points to the paradox of the Divine: the Goddess is all-pervading and subtle (beyond ordinary form), yet for the devotee’s grace and comprehension she can be perceived as if embodied—revealing the meeting of nirguṇa reality with saguṇa manifestation.
Just as Shiva is worshipped in the Liṅga as the formless-in-form, this verse presents Shakti as the all-pervading power that becomes perceptible in a concrete way for devotion—supporting temple worship, iconography, and meditative visualization without denying transcendence.
Meditate on the Divine as pervading all (vyāpti-bhāvanā) while repeating the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and, if following Shaiva practice, wear rudrākṣa and apply tripuṇḍra-bhasma to stabilize awareness of the all-pervading Lord and His Shakti.
