Umāyāḥ Kriyāyoga-Rahasya
The Esoteric Teaching on Umā’s Kriyāyoga
भूतप्रेतपिशाचादिदुष्टेभ्यो न भयं क्वचित । पुत्रपौत्रादिसम्पत्तिं लभत्येव न संशयः
bhūtapretapiśācādiduṣṭebhyo na bhayaṃ kvacita | putrapautrādisampattiṃ labhatyeva na saṃśayaḥ
He never has fear at any time from wicked beings such as bhūtas, pretas, and piśācas; and he surely attains prosperity in the form of sons, grandsons, and the like—of this there is no doubt.

Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Bhairava
Significance: Protective fruit (rakṣā) is promised: freedom from fear of hostile spirits and gain of lineage-prosperity—typical of Śiva’s guardianship over devotees.
Type: kavaca
Shakti Form: Durgā
Role: destructive
The verse teaches that refuge in Pati (Lord Shiva) removes भय (fear) caused by hostile forces and karmic disturbances, and supports dharmic well-being—showing Shiva as the compassionate protector who loosens pasha (bondage) for the devotee.
Such promised fearlessness and prosperity are classic phala-śruti results of Saguna Shiva worship—approaching Shiva through the Linga with devotion, purity, and regular worship, by which the devotee receives grace (anugraha) expressed as protection and stability in life.
Regular Shiva-upāsanā—especially japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and Linga-pūjā with devotion—fits the intent of this verse as the practical means for protection from negative influences and for household auspiciousness.
