Umāyāḥ Kriyāyoga-Rahasya

The Esoteric Teaching on Umā’s Kriyāyoga

कर्मणा जायते भक्तिर्भक्त्या ज्ञानं प्रजायते । ज्ञानात्प्रजायते मुक्तिरिति शास्त्रेषु निश्चयः

karmaṇā jāyate bhaktirbhaktyā jñānaṃ prajāyate | jñānātprajāyate muktiriti śāstreṣu niścayaḥ

From righteous action arises devotion; from devotion arises true knowledge; and from knowledge arises liberation—this is the settled conclusion taught in the scriptures.

It teaches a graded Shaiva path: disciplined dharmic action purifies the mind, ripening into bhakti for Shiva; devotion deepens into jñāna (right understanding of Pati–Pashu–Pasha); and that knowledge culminates in moksha, freedom from bondage through Shiva’s grace.

Linga/Saguna worship is the practical bridge from karma to bhakti: daily pūjā, abhiṣeka, mantra-japa, and reverent service transform outward acts into heartfelt devotion, which then matures into inner realization of Shiva as the supreme Pati.

Perform regular Shiva-karmas (Linga pūjā and abhiṣeka) with mantra-japa—especially the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—so that action becomes devotion; support it with purity disciplines like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa to steady remembrance.
