Account of the Birth/Origin of Vyāsa
बाल उवाच । त्वया ब्रह्मविदां श्रेष्ठ योऽभिलाषः कृतो हृदि । अचिरेणैव कालेन स भविष्यत्यसंशयः
bāla uvāca | tvayā brahmavidāṃ śreṣṭha yo'bhilāṣaḥ kṛto hṛdi | acireṇaiva kālena sa bhaviṣyatyasaṃśayaḥ
Bāla said: O best among the knowers of Brahman, the desire you have formed within your heart will, in a very short time, surely be fulfilled—of this there is no doubt.
Bāla
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It affirms that a pure inner aspiration (sincere sankalpa) oriented to the highest truth is not wasted; by the working of divine grace and right effort, it ripens quickly and certainly.
In Shaiva practice, heartfelt intention is stabilized through Saguna Shiva worship—especially Linga-pūjā—so the seeker’s inner resolve becomes steady and receives Shiva’s anugraha (grace) for fulfillment.
Make a clear sankalpa, then support it with daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Linga worship; the verse emphasizes certainty of fruition when the heart’s intent is sincere.
