It highlights bhakti as reverent recognition of divine greatness—praise, honoring, and auspicious blessings offered by higher beings, reflecting the soul’s (paśu) natural movement toward the Lord (Pati) through devotion.
Garlanding and hymning are classic forms of saguna-upāsanā: devotees honor the manifest Lord with offerings (mālya) and stuti, which purify the mind and steady attention for deeper realization.
Offer flowers/garlands with sincere praise (stotra) and conclude with auspicious benedictions; this can be paired with japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as a focused devotional practice.
