जनयित्वा च सा तत्र पुरूरवसमादरात् । पुत्रं शिवप्रसादात्तु पुनस्सुद्युम्नतां गतः
janayitvā ca sā tatra purūravasamādarāt | putraṃ śivaprasādāttu punassudyumnatāṃ gataḥ
There, she lovingly bore Purūravas a son; and by Lord Śiva’s grace, he once again attained the state of being Sudyumna.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
The verse highlights śiva-prasāda (Śiva’s grace) as a decisive spiritual power that can restore order and identity beyond ordinary karmic fluctuation, emphasizing devotion and surrender to Pati (Śiva) as liberating support for the bound soul (paśu).
By attributing the change explicitly to “Śiva’s grace,” the verse supports Saguna Śiva worship—approaching Śiva as the compassionate Lord who responds to devotion and bestows boons; such grace is traditionally sought through Liṅga-pūjā, mantra-japa, and temple worship.
A practical takeaway is regular Panchākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with bhakti, and simple Liṅga worship (water/abhisheka) while praying for Śiva’s prasāda to overcome life’s reversals and regain steadiness of dharma.
