Enumeration of the Manvantaras and Manus
तत्र सर्वाणि भूतानि दग्धान्यादित्यरश्मिभिः । ब्रह्माणमग्रतः कृत्वा सदादित्यगणैर्मुने
tatra sarvāṇi bhūtāni dagdhānyādityaraśmibhiḥ | brahmāṇamagrataḥ kṛtvā sadādityagaṇairmune
There, all beings were scorched by the Sun’s rays. Then, O sage, the hosts of the Ādityas, placing Brahmā at their forefront, proceeded onward.

It highlights the fragility of embodied beings under cosmic forces and implies that liberation requires refuge in Pati (Śiva), beyond the reach of worldly energies like the sun’s heat.
By showing that even divine agencies (Ādityas) operate within cosmic limits, the narrative points devotees toward Saguna Śiva—often worshiped as the Liṅga—as the stable refuge and lord over the gods.
Meditate on Śiva as the cooling, liberating presence beyond all burning afflictions, supporting practice of the Panchākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder of transcending worldly heat.
