Manvantarāṇukīrtana
Enumeration of the Manvantaras and Manus
अतिमानी प्रवीणश्च विष्णुस्संक्रंदनस्तथा । तेजस्वी सबलश्चैव सत्यस्त्वेते मनोस्सुता
atimānī pravīṇaśca viṣṇussaṃkraṃdanastathā | tejasvī sabalaścaiva satyastvete manossutā
“Atimānī, Pravīṇa, Viṣṇu, Saṃkrandana, Tejasvī, Sabala, and Satya—these indeed are the sons of Manu.”
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
The verse situates the teaching within a dharmic lineage (Manu’s progeny), reminding that social order and righteous conduct arise within creation, while liberation ultimately depends on turning toward Pati (Shiva) beyond mere birth and status.
Though the verse is genealogical, Uma-saṃhitā uses such lineages to frame the world of pashu (bound souls) and pasha (bonds); the remedy taught elsewhere in the same discourse is devotion and worship of Saguna Shiva—often centered on the Linga—as the accessible form of Pati.
No specific rite is prescribed in this line; the practical takeaway, consistent with Shaiva Siddhanta in the Shiva Purana, is steady Shiva-bhakti—japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and Linga-pūjā—regardless of lineage.
