Knowing what was to come, I indeed caused her to conceive. O fortunate ones, let her become your wife—she who will increase and strengthen the Somavaṃśa, the Lunar dynasty.

The verse highlights divine oversight of worldly dharma: even lineage and marriage are shown as guided by higher knowledge, reminding the seeker that providence operates within karma while ultimately pointing beyond worldly identity toward Shiva as the supreme Pati (Lord).
Though the verse is genealogical in tone, the Uma Samhita frames worldly events as unfolding under the Lord’s governance; Saguna Shiva is worshiped as the inner ruler who orders creation, while the Linga signifies that the same supreme reality stands beyond all dynasties and births.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate surrender (śaraṇāgati) alongside japa of the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—accepting one’s dharmic duties while remembering Shiva as the ultimate guide of outcomes.
