श्रुत्वा मम वचो देवी ह्येवमस्त्विति साब्रवीत् । सुयशां ताञ्च सुप्रीत्या नन्दिप्रियतमां शिवाम्
śrutvā mama vaco devī hyevamastviti sābravīt | suyaśāṃ tāñca suprītyā nandipriyatamāṃ śivām
Hearing my words, the Goddess replied, “So be it.” Then, with great affection and delight, she gladly accepted that auspicious Lady of noble fame—Śivā, most beloved of Nandin.

The Goddess’ “evam astu” signifies divine consent and anugraha (grace): when aligned with Shiva’s dharma, sincere words and intentions are sealed by Devi’s approving will, affirming the Shaiva path of surrender and devotion.
By highlighting Śivā and Nandin—key figures in Saguna Shiva worship—the verse points to devotional relationship: reverence to Shiva with His śakti (Devi) and His gaṇa (Nandi) supports focused, embodied worship such as Linga-pūjā.
Adopt the inner vow of “evam astu” (acceptance) during japa—especially of the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and include respectful remembrance of Nandi before Shiva worship, cultivating humility and steadiness.
