नन्दिकेश्वरावताराभिषेकविवाहवर्णनम्
Nandikeśvara: Incarnation, Consecration, and Marriage—Description
पितामहोऽपि ते वत्स तथास्तु नियमा इमे । मत्समीपं गमिष्यन्ति मया दत्तवरास्तथा
pitāmaho'pi te vatsa tathāstu niyamā ime | matsamīpaṃ gamiṣyanti mayā dattavarāstathā
Even your Grandfather (Brahmā), dear child—so be it. Let these observances and restraints be established. Those who have received boons from me shall likewise come into my presence.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Īśāna
The verse highlights Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on both niyama (disciplined observance) and Shiva’s anugraha (grace): those aligned with the ordained disciplines and blessed by Shiva attain nearness to Him.
“Coming into my presence” is fulfilled through Saguna worship—approaching Shiva in accessible form, especially via Linga-upasana—where regular observances (puja, vrata, purity, mantra) culminate in Shiva’s direct favor.
Maintain niyamas such as daily Shiva-puja, japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and vrata-like discipline; the teaching implies that steady observance supported by Shiva’s blessing leads to spiritual proximity.
