If that support which bears infinite jewels were to depart into liberation, then the earth famed as “Ratnagarbhā” (the jewel-wombed one) would certainly become a mere false name—indeed, an empty claim.

It highlights that worldly glory and even sacred-sounding titles depend on the underlying divine support; without the sustaining presence of Pati (Shiva), names and appearances become hollow, pointing to Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on Shiva as the true ground of reality.
The Linga symbolizes Shiva as the unseen support (ādhāra) of all manifest forms; worship of Saguna Shiva through the Linga trains the devotee to recognize that creation’s value and stability rest upon Shiva’s sustaining power.
Contemplate Shiva as the inner ādhāra while repeating the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering water or bilva to the Linga with the intent of seeing all worldly ‘jewels’ as dependent on Shiva, the source of true fulfillment and liberation.
