The Account of Śiva’s Manifestation as Vaiśyanātha
O fair-hipped one, whatever you desire—indeed that I grant to you. By your devotion I am fully pleased; for you there is nothing that is improper to be accepted from Me.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
It teaches that Shiva’s grace (anugraha) is moved by sincere bhakti; when devotion is mature, the Lord freely grants what supports the devotee’s welfare and spiritual upliftment.
It reflects Saguna Shiva’s personal compassion: the devotee approaches Shiva in a worshipable form (such as the Linga), and through devotion receives Shiva’s pleased response as blessings and guidance.
Cultivate steady bhakti through daily Shiva-pūjā—especially japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—offering water/bilva to the Linga with a focused, humble mind.
