महोत्सवस्तदासीद्वे सर्वं शिवमयं त्वभूत् । आसन्हृष्टाः सुराश्चाथ मुनिना कश्यपेन च
mahotsavastadāsīdve sarvaṃ śivamayaṃ tvabhūt | āsanhṛṣṭāḥ surāścātha muninā kaśyapena ca
Then indeed a great festival arose; everything became pervaded with Śiva. The gods were filled with joy, and so too was the sage Kaśyapa.

It presents the Shaiva vision of “śivamaya”—when grace and right devotion arise, the entire cosmos is experienced as permeated by Lord Shiva, turning the moment into a sacred festival of consciousness.
The verse supports Saguna devotion as a gateway to the deeper realization of Shiva’s pervasion: through worship (such as Linga-upasana), the devotee’s perception matures until all forms are recognized as expressions of Shiva’s presence.
Cultivate “śivamaya-bhāva” by japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and daily Shiva-puja; the takeaway is to train the mind to see every experience as offered to Shiva, like an inner mahotsava.
