गृहस्थ-जीवनसंस्काराः तथा पुत्रजन्म-शुभलक्षणवर्णनम् / Household Saṃskāras and the Auspicious Portents of a Son’s Birth
किन्तु सर्वगुणोपेतं सर्वलक्षणलक्षितम् । सम्पूर्णनिर्मलकलं पालयेद्विधुवद्विधिः
kintu sarvaguṇopetaṃ sarvalakṣaṇalakṣitam | sampūrṇanirmalakalaṃ pālayedvidhuvadvidhiḥ
But the wise devotee should preserve and maintain (that sacred form) as one endowed with all auspicious qualities, marked by every proper sign, complete and stainless in its parts—cherishing it with steady, moon-like gentleness and disciplined observance.

It teaches that the sacred object of Shiva-worship should be kept complete, pure, and properly marked—because reverent maintenance expresses bhakti and supports inner purification, preparing the soul (paśu) for Shiva’s grace (pati-anugraha).
The verse emphasizes honoring Shiva’s saguna presence through correct signs and auspicious qualities—suggesting that the Linga or consecrated form is to be preserved with disciplined care, reflecting the right ritual order (vidhi) and devotion.
Maintain the worship-space and Shiva-emblem with cleanliness and completeness, and practice steady daily observance—such as regular puja with calm focus, japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and gentle, consistent discipline rather than harshness.
