अद्य मे सफलं जन्म जीवनं संबभूव ह । रणे गतं च प्राणेशं पश्यंत्याश्च पुनर्गृहे
adya me saphalaṃ janma jīvanaṃ saṃbabhūva ha | raṇe gataṃ ca prāṇeśaṃ paśyaṃtyāśca punargṛhe
Today my birth has become fruitful; my very life has truly found its fulfillment—since I have seen my beloved lord of life, who had gone to the battlefield, return again to the home.

It portrays bhakti expressed as gratitude and fulfillment: life is considered “successful” when one’s heart is anchored in dharma and loving remembrance, even amid the dangers of conflict—an attitude that Shaiva Siddhanta treats as a purifier of the soul (paśu) toward Pati, Shiva.
The emotion of reunion after peril mirrors the devotee’s return to Saguna Shiva through steady remembrance; Linga-worship similarly centers the mind on Shiva as the protecting Lord, transforming fear and separation into surrender and thankful devotion.
Practice smaraṇa (remembrance) with japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” especially when anxious for loved ones; offer a simple Linga-abhiṣeka or apply tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a daily vow of protection and surrender.
