They appeared with splendor comparable to Brahmā, Indra, and Viṣṇu; endowed with the yogic perfections beginning with aṇimā, they shone like crores of suns and were fully adept in the arts of war.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
The verse highlights that even god-like brilliance and yogic siddhis (aṇimā and others) are secondary powers—impressive yet still within the manifested realm—pointing the devotee toward Shiva as the supreme Pati beyond all created hierarchies.
By describing radiant, empowered beings, the text underscores Saguna manifestations of divine power; Linga-worship directs that awe toward Shiva as the source of all such splendor, training the mind to see every might as dependent on the Lord.
Meditatively, one may contemplate Shiva as the giver and governor of siddhis while repeating the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating devotion and restraint so that powers do not become obstacles to liberation.
