देवस्तुतिः — Hymn of Praise by the Devas
Devastuti
देवास्सर्वेऽपि मुदिता ब्रह्माद्या हतशत्रवः । स्वं स्वं धाम ययुः प्रीता गायंतः शिवसद्यशः
devāssarve'pi muditā brahmādyā hataśatravaḥ | svaṃ svaṃ dhāma yayuḥ prītā gāyaṃtaḥ śivasadyaśaḥ
All the gods were filled with joy; Brahmā and the others, their enemies slain, departed gladly to their respective abodes, singing at once the glory of Śiva.

It shows that even the Devas attain peace and order only by Śiva’s grace; gratitude expressed as immediate praise (śiva-stuti) is presented as the right Shaiva response after the removal of obstacles.
The Devas’ singing of Śiva’s glory reflects Saguna-bhakti—adoring Śiva as the active Lord who protects the cosmos; such praise is classically offered before the Liṅga through stotra, nama-japa, and ārādhana.
A practical takeaway is to perform Śiva-nāma-saṅkīrtana or Panchākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) after completing worship, offering thanks for the removal of inner enemies like anger and delusion.
