“In a single moment the whole of the three worlds—moving and unmoving—has been burned. O Rudra, what austerity have you performed, that even the Blessed Lord has been overpowered by you?”

Rudra’s manifest (saguṇa) form is shown as the active divine agency that can burn away impurity and obstruction; Linga-worship similarly honors Shiva as the transcendent reality made approachable through a sacred form that bestows purification and liberation.
It implicitly praises tapas supported by mantra-japa—especially the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—along with Shaiva disciplines such as bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and steady meditation on Rudra as the purifier of all worlds.
