Seeing their preceptor approaching, all those asuras quickly bowed down with delighted hearts; and the son of Sindhu too, with due reverence, offered salutations.

It highlights that even those driven by tamas and conflict can recognize dharma through guru-reverence; humility (praṇāma) becomes the first step toward purification of the mind, which in Shaiva Siddhanta supports the soul’s gradual turning toward Pati (Shiva).
Saguna Shiva worship emphasizes devotional discipline—respect, surrender, and right conduct. The act of bowing mirrors the bhāva required in pūjā to the Linga: approaching the Divine (and His guidance) with reverence rather than ego.
Practice daily praṇāma with a settled mind before japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya), beginning with an attitude of surrender; this inner posture is the practical takeaway, even when no specific bhasma or rudrākṣa rite is explicitly stated in the verse.
