FAQs

It teaches fearlessness grounded in Śiva’s ājñā: when events unfold under the Lord’s governance, devotees and participants are urged to remain steady, trusting the supreme Pati (Śiva) who directs the cosmic order.

By emphasizing Śiva’s command as the operative power behind the visible drama, the verse supports Saguna devotion—seeing the personal Lord Śiva as the compassionate ruler whose will protects and guides, just as Linga-worship trains one to surrender to Śiva’s presence and authority.

A practical takeaway is japa with surrender—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—cultivating abhayam (fearlessness) by mentally offering outcomes to Śiva’s will before and after worship.
