उत्पातवर्णनम् / Description of Portents at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
रीतैश्च पवनै रूर्द्ध्वं स दक्षाध्वरमंडपः । दैवान्वितेन दक्षेण यः कृतो नूतनोद्भुतः
rītaiśca pavanai rūrddhvaṃ sa dakṣādhvaramaṃḍapaḥ | daivānvitena dakṣeṇa yaḥ kṛto nūtanodbhutaḥ
That wondrous, newly constructed sacrificial pavilion of Dakṣa—raised up by Dakṣa together with the gods—was then hurled upward and scattered by the violent, disruptive winds.

Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Rudra
Cosmic Event: Yajña-vighna (disruption of Dakṣa’s sacrifice) by contrary winds
It shows that yajña and religious display, when driven by ego and exclusion of Śiva (Pati), become unstable; divine order overturns hollow ritual, pointing devotees toward humility and Śiva-bhakti as the soul of dharma.
The narrative implies that honoring Saguna Śiva—present for devotees through forms like the Liṅga—must accompany all sacred acts; ignoring Śiva while relying only on external rites leads to spiritual collapse.
Prioritize Śiva-smaraṇa with the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) before and during any rite; perform worship with reverence (bhakti) rather than pride, supported by simple Śaiva observances like bhasma and mantra-japa.
