O Mahādeva, I bow to You; again and again I bow. For the fulfillment of my dearest desire, send me today—O Hara—swiftly to my destined end.
Sati (addressing Lord Shiva)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Mantra: प्रणतोस्मि महादेव भूयोपि प्रणतोस्म्यहम् । प्रेषय स्वेष्ट सिद्ध्यर्थं मामद्य हर सत्वरम्
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
It expresses total śaraṇāgati (surrender): the devotee bows repeatedly and entrusts the outcome to Hara, seeking the swift completion of destiny for the sake of the highest good—release from bondage through Shiva’s grace.
The address “Mahādeva” and “Hara” is direct Saguna devotion—approaching Shiva as the personal Lord who actively removes pāśa (bondage) and grants iṣṭa-siddhi; such prayerful surrender is central to Linga-worship as a living relationship with Pati (the Lord).
A simple practice is repeated prostration (namaskāra) with heartfelt surrender while japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—offering one’s will to Shiva and asking for guidance and timely fulfillment of dharma.
