Without Your command, no one is truly capable of moving even a blade of grass. This is the truth—of this there is no doubt.
Satī (addressing Lord Śiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It affirms Śiva as Pati—the supreme Lord whose ājñā (divine command) governs all motion and causality; the devotee’s path is surrender (śaraṇāgati) and trust in His sovereign grace.
In Liṅga/Saguṇa worship, the devotee approaches Śiva as the personal Lord who actively rules the universe; this verse supports that devotional stance—nothing functions independently of Śiva’s will, which the Liṅga symbolizes as the supreme reality present in all.
Practice japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with an attitude of surrender—offering all actions to Śiva’s command; optionally combine with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders that all power belongs to Śiva.
