कामशापानुग्रहः (Kāmaśāpānugraha) — “The Curse and Grace Concerning Kāma”
तिष्ठंति मुनयश्चात्र स्वयं चापि प्रजापतिः । एतेषां साक्षिभूतं मे भविष्यंत्यद्य निश्चयम्
tiṣṭhaṃti munayaścātra svayaṃ cāpi prajāpatiḥ | eteṣāṃ sākṣibhūtaṃ me bhaviṣyaṃtyadya niścayam
Here the sages stand present, and Prajāpati himself is here as well. Surely, today they shall be witnesses on my behalf.
Satī (in the Satī Khaṇḍa narrative, asserting her resolve before the assembly)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
It emphasizes dharmic resolve and accountability: truth is affirmed in the presence of realized sages and a progenitor-authority, reflecting that righteous intent should withstand scrutiny—especially when devotion to Śiva is tested.
In the Satī narrative, loyalty to Śiva (Saguna Śiva as the personal Lord) is defended publicly; the verse supports the principle that devotion is not merely private emotion but a dharmic stance validated by conduct and truth.
A practical takeaway is satya-vrata (a vow of truth) with Śiva-smaraṇa: mentally repeating the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to stabilize resolve when facing social pressure or opposition.
