In the same manner, many others came to Daksha’s sacrifice, their minds deluded. All of them were honoured by Daksha—indeed, by that evil-minded one.

It highlights how ritual activity can be overshadowed by moha (delusion) when driven by ego and hostility to Shiva; honor and hospitality are not spiritually pure if rooted in pride and malice.
Daksha’s yajna represents outward religiosity without reverence for Saguna Shiva (the worshipful Lord). The narrative contrasts sacrificial pride with true Shiva-bhakti expressed through honoring Shiva and the Linga as the heart of dharma.
The takeaway is to purify intention before rites—approach worship with humility, japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and inner surrender rather than performing ceremonies for status or rivalry.
