दक्षयज्ञे मुनिदेवसमागमः / The Gathering of Sages and Gods at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
भवनानि महार्हाणि सुप्रभाणि महांति च । त्वष्ट्रा कृतानि दिव्यानि तेभ्यो दत्तानि तेन वै
bhavanāni mahārhāṇi suprabhāṇi mahāṃti ca | tvaṣṭrā kṛtāni divyāni tebhyo dattāni tena vai
He bestowed upon them truly divine mansions—costly, radiant, and vast—fashioned by Tvaṣṭṛ himself.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
The verse highlights extraordinary worldly splendour (divine, radiant mansions) while implicitly setting the Shaiva Siddhanta contrast: external grandeur and ritual wealth are secondary to inner devotion (bhakti) and reverence toward Pati (Shiva).
By showing that even gifts crafted by celestial powers are still ‘outer’ attainments, the narrative supports Linga/Saguna Shiva worship as the stabilizing centre of dharma—devotion to Shiva is not measured by opulence but by surrender and right attitude.
Practice offering with humility: during Shiva-puja (especially on Mahashivratri), prioritize mantra-japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple, sincere offerings over display of wealth.
