सतीप्राप्तिविषये ब्रह्मरुद्रसंवादः | The Brahmā–Śiva Dialogue on Attaining Satī
अहं हरिस्त्वदाद्या वै मुनयश्च सुरा गणाः । नेमुस्सर्वे संस्तुतिभि स्तोषयामासुरीश्वरम्
ahaṃ haristvadādyā vai munayaśca surā gaṇāḥ | nemussarve saṃstutibhi stoṣayāmāsurīśvaram
“I—Hari (Viṣṇu)—and all those beginning with you, along with the sages and the hosts of devas, all bowed down and, with hymns of praise, extolled the Supreme Lord (Īśvara).”
Sūta Gosvāmi (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
The verse emphasizes that even exalted beings—Viṣṇu, devas, and sages—approach Īśvara through humility (namaskāra) and stuti, highlighting devotion and surrender as a Shaiva means to receive Śiva’s grace.
By describing collective bowing and hymn-singing to Īśvara, it mirrors Saguna worship—approaching Śiva through reverent acts (prostration, praise) that are central to Linga-upāsanā and temple pūjā.
Offer namaskāra and recite Śiva-stuti—practically, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a devotional hymn, concluding with prostration to Śiva or the Śiva-liṅga.
