Brahmā said: Hearing that, the Haryaśvas—unwearied and intent on what you had spoken—being all endowed with innate discernment, reflected deeply among themselves.
Brahmā
Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights the Shaiva ideal of sincere inner deliberation: when sacred instruction is heard, the seeker should respond with wakeful (atandrita) contemplation, allowing innate discernment to mature into right direction toward Dharma and liberation.
Though the verse does not name the Liṅga directly, it sets the prerequisite for Saguna Shiva worship—listening to scripture and reflecting deeply—so that ritual and devotion become conscious, purposeful offerings rather than mechanical acts.
The implied practice is śravaṇa–manana: hear the teaching, then reflect intensely in silence; this can be paired with steady japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to keep the mind vigilant and focused.
