दक्षस्य तपः तथा जगदम्बायाः प्रत्यक्षता — Dakṣa’s Austerities and the Direct Manifestation of Jagadambā
इत्युक्त्वा सद्वचो दक्षं शिवाज्ञां प्राप्य चेतसि । पुनः प्रोवाच सा देवी स्मृत्वा शिवपदाम्बुजम्
ityuktvā sadvaco dakṣaṃ śivājñāṃ prāpya cetasi | punaḥ provāca sā devī smṛtvā śivapadāmbujam
Having thus spoken those truthful and well-spoken words to Daksha, the Goddess—receiving within her heart the command of Śiva—again addressed him, after remembering the lotus-feet of Lord Śiva.
Sati (the Goddess)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It highlights Satī’s inner alignment with Pati (Śiva): remembrance of Śiva’s lotus-feet and obedience to His ājñā (divine ordinance) become the basis for right speech and dharmic action—key Shaiva Siddhānta markers of surrender and grace-oriented progress toward moksha.
Remembering Śiva’s lotus-feet points to Saguna devotion—holding a concrete, reverent focus on Śiva’s form and lordship. In Purāṇic practice this same devotion is expressed through Liṅga-pūjā, where the devotee centers mind and speech in Śiva before acting or responding.
A simple takeaway is smaraṇa (remembrance) before speech: mentally bow to Śiva’s feet, repeat the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and then speak—training the mind to act from devotion rather than ego, as Satī models here.
