दक्षस्य तपः तथा जगदम्बायाः प्रत्यक्षता — Dakṣa’s Austerities and the Direct Manifestation of Jagadambā
इत्थं कृत्वा सुलीला च भव त्वं हर मोहिनी । ममैवैष वरो देवि सत्यमुक्तं तवाग्रतः
itthaṃ kṛtvā sulīlā ca bhava tvaṃ hara mohinī | mamaivaiṣa varo devi satyamuktaṃ tavāgrataḥ
“Having thus acted, O Devī of graceful līlā, become Mohinī, the enchantress who captivates even Hara (Śiva). This boon is mine alone to grant, O Goddess; before you I have spoken the truth.”
Brahmā
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
The verse highlights Devī’s divinely ordained līlā (sacred play) and Brahmā’s truthful bestowal of a boon, indicating that even cosmic events unfold under dharma and satya, ultimately serving Śiva-tattva and the soul’s movement toward grace (anugraha).
By calling Śiva “Hara” and speaking of being ‘charmed,’ the text frames Saguna Śiva as personally responsive within līlā—supporting devotional worship (bhakti) to Śiva (often through Liṅga) where the Lord engages with devotees and Devī in manifest form.
The practical takeaway is satya (truthfulness) and bhakti: approach Śiva with sincere vows, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and steady devotion—qualities that align the worshipper with the divine order reflected in this boon.
