O lord among sages, many kinds of winds began to blow, pleasant to the touch. All the virtuous were filled with joy, while the suffering of the unrighteous quickly arose.

The verse presents auspicious omens—pleasant winds—as a sign of Śiva’s grace supporting dharma. In a Shaiva Siddhanta sense, the same divine order that comforts devotees also agitates those opposed to righteousness, revealing the moral alignment of the cosmos under Pati (Śiva).
Pleasant, harmonizing natural signs are traditionally read as the nearness of Saguna Śiva’s compassionate presence—Śiva as the accessible Lord who responds to devotion. Such omens often accompany moments when worship, vows, or sacred events around Śiva’s manifestations (including Liṅga worship) bear fruit.
Take it as a cue for steadiness in bhakti: chant the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a calm breath, and if following Shaiva observance, apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and offer simple worship—water and bilva—seeking inner purity that aligns with these auspicious signs.
