He appeared in a supremely beautiful form and attire, endowed with every kind of charm—standing in the freshness of new youth, captivating the minds of women.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
The verse highlights how compelling outer form can be, reminding the seeker (in Shaiva Siddhanta) to cultivate viveka and devotion to Pati (Shiva) rather than being bound by sensory fascination that strengthens pāśa (bondage).
It contrasts attractive, worldly appearance with the devotee’s aim in Linga worship: to turn the mind from transient form toward Shiva as the stable refuge—worshipping Saguna manifestations as a doorway to the realization of Shiva beyond mere external charm.
Practice japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady attention, and apply Tripuṇḍra-bhasma as a daily reminder of impermanence—training the mind not to be carried away by मोह (enchantment).
