Having obtained the boon long desired by Maheśānī (Pārvatī), Menakā too was filled with joy; and, dear one, even the hardship born of austerity was thereby dispelled.

It teaches that when devotion and tapas mature under Śiva’s auspicious will, the sought-after fruit arises naturally, and the pain of austerity is transformed into joy and inner clarity.
The verse reflects the Saguna dimension of Śiva’s grace: the Divine responds to sincere striving and devotion, granting boons that dissolve suffering—an attitude central to Linga worship as a living relationship with Pati (Śiva).
The takeaway is steady tapas supported by bhakti—regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and simple Śiva-pūjā, cultivating endurance until grace ripens the result.
