अध्याय ४९ — विवाहानुष्ठाने ब्रह्मणः काममोहः

Brahmā’s Enchantment by Desire during the Wedding Rites

त्वदिच्छया हि सकलं स्थितं हि सचराचरम् । तन्त्यां यथा बलीवर्दा मया ज्ञातं विशेषतः

tvadicchayā hi sakalaṃ sthitaṃ hi sacarācaram | tantyāṃ yathā balīvardā mayā jñātaṃ viśeṣataḥ

Truly, by Your will alone everything—moving and unmoving—remains sustained. Just as oxen are held and guided by a tethering rope, so have I understood, in particular, that all this is governed by You.

It teaches that Shiva (Pati) sustains and governs the entire cosmos through His will (icchā-śakti). For the seeker, the spiritual takeaway is surrender and trust: liberation matures when one recognizes the Lord as the inner ruler of all states and beings.

The Linga represents Shiva as the all-pervading support and controller of creation. Worship of Saguna Shiva (with form and attributes) trains the devotee to perceive that the same Lord who is adored in the shrine is the one who upholds and directs the whole moving-and-unmoving universe.
