It highlights that sincere tapas and steadfast devotion purify the seeker and draw the Lord’s grace; Parvati’s disciplined austerity becomes the spiritual cause for Shiva’s presence, showing the fruit of unwavering bhakti aligned with dharma.
Mena addresses Shiva as Maheśāna, emphasizing Saguna Shiva who compassionately responds to devotion in the world. In Shaiva practice, such grace is approached through Linga-worship, mantra-japa, and purity of conduct, where inner tapas supports outer worship.
The takeaway is tapas expressed as disciplined sadhana—daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), steady vrata/fasting when appropriate, and focused meditation on Shiva—performed with humility, as devotion that invites divine grace.
