Menā’s Vision of Śiva’s Divine Form
तथा जयेति भाषन्तो नानारूपा गणास्तदा । स्वलङ्कृतमहामोदा गिरीशपुरतोऽचरन्
tathā jayeti bhāṣanto nānārūpā gaṇāstadā | svalaṅkṛtamahāmodā girīśapurato'caran
Then those gaṇas—assuming many wondrous forms—moved about before Lord Girīśa, crying, “Victory! Victory!” Adorned with their own ornaments and filled with great delight, they joyfully ranged in his presence.

Shiva Form: Rudra
Mantra: jaya iti
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It shows the auspicious, satvic joy that arises in Shiva’s presence: the gaṇas rejoice and proclaim victory, reflecting how devotion (bhakti) naturally expresses itself as praise and celebration before the Lord (Pati), who grants protection and spiritual uplift.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Shiva—Girīśa manifest and present—before whom devotees and attendants offer “Jaya” (victory). In Linga-worship too, the devotee approaches Shiva as tangibly present, offering praise, mantra, and celebratory remembrance as an act of upacāra (devotional service).
Chanting Shiva’s victory names (jaya-jaya), kīrtana, and mindful presence before Shiva—especially alongside pañcākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple offerings—captures the spirit of this verse; it aligns well with Mahāśivarātri-style devotional vigil and praise.
