brahmovāca | ityavādīcca sā menā premanirbharamānasā | tāvatsamāgato rudro'dbhutotikārakaḥ prabhuḥ
Brahmā said: Having spoken thus, Menā—her mind overflowing with love—continued; and just then the Lord Rudra arrived, the sovereign whose wondrous presence surpasses all measure.
Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga narrative; it is an epiphanic ‘arrival’ (āgama) of Rudra into the domestic-sacred space, signaling grace and divine sanction of the marriage-līlā.
Significance: Models ‘darśana’ theology: the Lord’s self-manifest arrival to devotees; encourages welcoming Śiva through hospitality, purity, and devotion.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It highlights how bhakti (love-filled devotion) becomes the immediate inner context in which Saguna Śiva (Rudra) manifests—Rudra’s arrival signifies divine grace responding to sincere, affectionate orientation of the heart.
Rudra is described as the personal Lord who ‘arrives’ and is knowable through devotion—this supports Saguna worship (including Liṅga-upāsanā) where the transcendent is approached through a gracious, manifest form.
Cultivate a love-centered mind while doing japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple Śiva-pūjā (optionally with bhasma/tripuṇḍra), emphasizing heartfelt devotion over mere formality.
