विश्वकर्मा महाबुद्धिः प्राप्तशम्भुमहावरः । विरेचे क्षणतः सर्वं शिवतुष्ट्यर्थमेव च
viśvakarmā mahābuddhiḥ prāptaśambhumahāvaraḥ | virece kṣaṇataḥ sarvaṃ śivatuṣṭyarthameva ca
Viśvakarmā, the greatly intelligent one—having obtained the supreme boon from Śambhu—fashioned everything in an instant, solely to please Lord Śiva.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It teaches that when devotion is aligned with Śiva’s grace (His boon), actions become swift and effective; the highest motive is śiva-tuṣṭi—doing all work as an offering meant to please Pati (the Lord).
The verse highlights Saguna devotion—pleasing Śambhu through tangible sacred works (such as constructing or arranging for worship). In Linga-upāsanā, outer acts become spiritually potent when performed as dedicated service to Śiva.
Offer daily worship as seva: mentally dedicate your actions to Śiva (śiva-ārpaṇa-bhāva), recite the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and perform simple upacāras (water, bilva leaves, lamp) with the sole intention of pleasing Him.
