Out of affection, O dear one, he fashioned the beautiful dwellings of the guardians of the worlds (Lokapālas); likewise, in his delight, he created many great, wondrous, and divine marvels as well.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
The verse highlights that divine order and sacred realms arise from benevolent will—creation is not merely mechanical but flows from grace (anugraha), pointing to Shiva’s lordship as Pati who uplifts beings through harmonious cosmic arrangement.
By presenting the divine as the arranger of heavenly abodes and wonders, the verse supports Saguna Shiva devotion: worship of the Linga trains the mind to see the visible cosmos as sustained by Shiva’s compassionate power and to seek refuge in Him beyond worldly structures.
A practical takeaway is to perform Panchakshara japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") while visualizing the universe as Shiva’s ordered mandala, offering one’s home and actions as a mental naivedya; if observing Mahashivratri, combine japa with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and inward remembrance of Shiva as the giver of divine shelter.
