हिमवतः सुमङ्गलोत्सव-नगररचना
Himavān’s Auspicious Festival Preparations and City Adornment
किं बहूक्तेन देवर्षे सर्वो वै विश्वकर्मणा । हिमागप्रेरितेनाशु क्लृप्तस्सुरसमाजकः
kiṃ bahūktena devarṣe sarvo vai viśvakarmaṇā | himāgapreritenāśu klṛptassurasamājakaḥ
O divine seer, what need is there to say much? At Himālaya’s urging, Viśvakarman swiftly arranged everything, preparing the entire assembly of the gods.
Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It emphasizes sacred readiness: when devotion (Himālaya’s intent) aligns with divine skill (Viśvakarman), the conditions for Shiva’s auspicious līlā are quickly perfected—mirroring how a seeker prepares body, mind, and space for grace.
The verse highlights orderly preparation for divine presence—just as devotees prepare a consecrated place, offerings, and purity of mind before Linga-pūjā, welcoming Saguna Shiva through disciplined arrangement and reverence.
Prepare the worship-space and the ‘inner altar’ carefully: cleanse, apply tripuṇḍra (bhasma) if practiced, and begin japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to ‘arrange’ the mind for Shiva’s presence.
