Honoured with special regard by the Lord and duly treated as was fitting, all of them—joyful at heart—came to the presence of the mountain.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It highlights that when the Lord (Pati) properly honours beings, their hearts become filled with prīti (devotional joy), and they naturally move toward sacred proximity—symbolized here by approaching the holy mountain—showing how grace draws the soul toward auspiciousness.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s compassionate lordship: He actively bestows fitting honour and guidance, which ripens bhakti and leads devotees toward holy places and sanctified presence—key supports for Linga-worship and Purāṇic devotional practice.
The takeaway is reverent conduct and pilgrimage-minded devotion: approach Shiva’s sacred abode/space with prīti and propriety, supported by daily bhakti such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and respectful hospitality toward devotees.
