Brahmā said: Having heard their words, Maheśāna—devoted to the proper conduct of the world—became inwardly delighted; and, smiling, he spoke these words.
Brahma

Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It shows Saguna Śiva (Maheśāna) as gracious and approachable: he listens, becomes pleased, and responds gently—revealing that divine guidance often comes through compassion aligned with dharma.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva’s personal, responsive nature—central to Linga-bhakti—where the Lord accepts devotees’ words and replies, guiding them within righteous conduct (ācāra).
A key takeaway is to approach Śiva with humble speech and dharmic conduct, supported by simple daily devotion such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and respectful ācāra in worship.
