हिमालयस्य निर्णयः — शिवाय पार्वत्याः प्रदाने
Himālaya’s Resolution to Give Pārvatī to Śiva
गच्छ शीघ्रं महादेव हिमाचलगृहं प्रभो । विवाहय यथा रीतिः पार्वतीमात्मजन्मने
gaccha śīghraṃ mahādeva himācalagṛhaṃ prabho | vivāhaya yathā rītiḥ pārvatīmātmajanmane
“Go quickly, O Mahādeva, O Lord, to the home of Himācala. In accordance with proper custom, solemnize the marriage of Pārvatī for the sake of your own divine manifestation (incarnation).”
Brahmā (inferred, as the divine arranger who directs Śiva toward the Himālaya household in the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa marriage narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
The verse frames Śiva’s marriage to Pārvatī as a dharmic, ritually ordered act that supports cosmic balance—showing how the Supreme (Pati) willingly adopts Saguna līlā to uplift beings and stabilize creation.
It highlights Saguna Śiva’s accessible, personal form—Śiva participates in worldly rites without being bound by them, guiding devotees to worship both the formless truth and the manifest Lord through devotion and proper observance.
The emphasis is on “yathā rītiḥ” (proper rite): devotees can honor Śiva with disciplined worship—daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Tripuṇḍra (bhasma), and reverent observance of auspicious vows such as Mahāśivarātri.
