It highlights that devotion is validated by inner conviction (pratyaya) expressed through simple, sattvic offerings; such faith-oriented worship supports the Shaiva Siddhanta path of approaching Pati (Shiva) through bhakti and right intent.
Flowers and fruits are classic upachāras offered to Saguna Shiva (including the Linga) as tangible acts of reverence; the verse emphasizes that the offering’s power lies in pratyaya—firm trust and devotional assent—rather than mere material display.
Perform simple pūjā with flowers and fruits while sustaining pratyaya (steady devotional certainty); accompany it with mental japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to align offering, mind, and intention.
