Pārvatī too, accompanied by her companions, assumed a fitting and purposeful appearance, and went to her father’s house, continually speaking of Mahādeva.

Mantra: महादेव इति (mahādeva iti)
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It highlights Mahādeva-smaraṇa—constant remembrance of Śiva—as a core bhakti practice: Pārvatī’s mind and speech remain anchored in the Lord even while engaging in worldly movement and family duties.
By repeating “Mahādeva,” Pārvatī turns her attention to Saguna Śiva (the worshipable, name-and-form aspect). In Śaiva Siddhānta, such nāma-japa supports inner purity and prepares the devotee for deeper realization of Śiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord).
A simple takeaway is nāma-japa and japa-in-action: repeating “Mahādeva” or the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while performing daily duties, maintaining continuous devotional recollection.
