पार्वतीवाक्यं—शिवस्य परब्रह्मत्व-निरूपणम्
Pārvatī’s Discourse: Establishing Śiva as Parabrahman
त्यज्यतां च त्वया लज्जा मम पत्नी सनातनी । गिरिजे त्वं हि सद्बुध्या विचारय महेश्वरि
tyajyatāṃ ca tvayā lajjā mama patnī sanātanī | girije tvaṃ hi sadbudhyā vicāraya maheśvari
O Girijā, abandon this shyness. You are My eternal consort. With your noble discernment, reflect well upon this, O Maheśvarī.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
The verse affirms Shiva–Shakti’s eternal unity: Parvati is not a mere worldly bride but the Sanātanī consort. Spiritually, it teaches that hesitation (lajjā) should be transcended through sadbuddhi—clear, dharmic discernment aligned with the Lord.
In Saguna devotion, Shiva guides the devotee personally, as he guides Parvati here. Linga-worship in the Shiva Purana similarly leads the seeker from emotional doubt to steady contemplation, recognizing Shiva as Pati (Lord) and Shakti as his inseparable power.
A practical takeaway is contemplative japa with steady resolve—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to dissolve inner hesitation and establish clarity (sadbuddhi) before worship, whether in Linga-pūjā, bhasma (tripuṇḍra) dhāraṇa, or Rudrākṣa-supported meditation.
