The verse shows that the fruit of tapas is not random: it is discerned in the light of Śiva remembered in the heart. In Shaiva Siddhānta, sincere austerity becomes fruitful when oriented toward Pati (Śiva) with inner remembrance and right understanding.
Brahmā’s inner recollection of Śiva highlights Saguna-upāsanā—approaching the Lord with devotion and contemplation. The same inward remembrance supports external worship such as Liṅga-pūjā, where mind and heart are aligned with the deity being worshiped.
A clear takeaway is smaraṇa (heart-remembrance) of Śiva alongside manasa-vicāra (reflective meditation). Practically, one may combine silent japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with focused contemplation on Śiva while undertaking vrata or disciplined sādhana.
