It teaches that proximity to sanctity—Shiva’s grace expressed through a holy person or āśrama—can dissolve even deep-seated inner opposition (virodha), indicating purification of the pashu (bound soul) through divine influence.
In Saguna worship, Shiva’s grace is encountered through sacred forms, places, and devotees; this verse reflects that such contact pacifies negativity and harmonizes the mind, making the heart fit for Linga-bhakti and mantra-japa.
Seek satsanga at Shiva temples/āśramas and practice steady japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to reduce hostility and cultivate śānti; offer simple worship with devotion to stabilize this transformation.
