ततस्त्वं पूजितस्तेन भूधरेण महात्मना । कुशलं पृष्टवांस्तं वै तदाविष्टो वरासने
tatastvaṃ pūjitastena bhūdhareṇa mahātmanā | kuśalaṃ pṛṣṭavāṃstaṃ vai tadāviṣṭo varāsane
Then that great-souled Mountain duly worshipped you. Seated upon an excellent seat, in divine composure, you indeed asked him about his welfare.

It highlights the Shaiva ethic that sincere pūjā draws divine presence, and that true greatness expresses itself as compassion and dharmic inquiry—asking the devotee’s welfare rather than demanding praise.
The verse reflects Saguna upāsanā: the Lord accepts honour, is offered a seat, and responds personally. This models how devotees approach Śiva through tangible ritual reverence (as in liṅga-pūjā) leading to grace-filled dialogue.
Perform pūjā with āsana-nyāsa (offering a seat) and a composed mind; then conclude with a welfare-prayer (kuśala-praśna) for all beings—an attitude aligned with japa and devotion, such as steady Panchākṣarī remembrance.
